How long does it take to create a flower?
Spoiler: sometimes many years. Follow the process from product development to trials, propagation and commercial production. And put your knowledge to the test: how many years do you think it takes to bring a new Clematis or Gloriosa to market?
From farm to Aalsmeer
A lot happens before a flower reaches the vase. Follow a stem from its earliest stages on the farm, through the packhouse and transport, all the way to our logistics centre in Aalsmeer. See the people, processes and checks that keep our flowers moving.
Step inside Quality
What makes a flower Marginpar-worthy? Visit our FlowerLab and meet the colleagues who assess our flowers every day. See what they look for, how varieties are tested and why quality is about much more than appearance alone.
See how we grow
Wetlands, healthy soils, biodiversity, water management and continuous improvement all play a part in everyday life on our farms. Explore some of the projects and ideas behind the way we grow and see what they look like in practice.
Meet some unexpected farm residents
Flowers are certainly not the only things growing and living on our farms. Birds, worms, chameleons, fish and plenty of other visitors share the landscape with us. Can you spot which animal doesn’t belong?
From Zimbabwe to today
Marginpar’s story started with flowers in Zimbabwe and has grown considerably since. Follow our timeline to see the farms, varieties, partnerships and milestones that have shaped Marginpar along the way.
And, most importantly: meet the people behind the flowers
