Crocosmia Prince of Orange
The name Crocosmia is derived from the Greek words "crocus" which means saffron and "osme" which means smell. The Crocosmia ‘Prince of Orange’ has sword-like foliage and an arching stem with 20 or more sizzling orange blooms accentuated by flame yellow throats. They cluster tightly on the stem which gives an especially vibrant display. Crocosmia is also known under its old name ‘Montbretia’.
