FleurEx, organised by the British Florist Association, took place on the 4th and 5th of October in Nottingham. This annual event has become the go-to gathering for florists, students, and suppliers to spark inspiration, sharpen skills, discover new varieties, and connect with the vibrant UK floristry community. We knew we had to be part of this one-of-a-kind celebration as a proud sponsor.

Over an incredible weekend we had the chance to meet so many British florists, enjoy breathtaking floral installations, attend world-class demonstrations by Joseph Massie and Daniel Santamaría, and celebrate talent at the 2025 BFA Awards. It was a joy to reconnect with old friends while making many new connections along the way.

Live demonstrations

The programme was packed with opportunities to learn, whether you were a seasoned florist or just starting your journey. The BFA truly outdid themselves with a fantastic line-up of workshops and live demonstrations.

Joseph Massie and Daniel Santamaría captivated audiences with their innovative structures and shared invaluable tips and insights. We were proud to see Marginpar flowers featured in their designs. The demonstrations, hosted by the multi-talented Morgan-Douglas Nuth, combined artistry with engaging stage presence. After each session, visitors were invited to take a closer look at the designs. An opportunity we gladly seized!

Flower Lab

Curated by Donna Cornish (Retail Director at the BFA) and brought to life by a team of passionate British florists, the Flower Lab was a hub of hands-on creativity. With approachable demo stations right in the exhibition hall, visitors could join in at any time, ask questions, and interact directly with the floral designers.

One of the highlights? The chance to get creative ourselves. We tried our hand at crafting a floral corsage, perfect for wearing to the BFA Awards that evening.

Marginpar at FleurEx

At our booth in the exhibitor’s market, visitors could explore our flowers, ask questions, enjoy episodes of Ask Marginpar, and pick up the latest issue of our "The Story of M." Magazine. Alongside already well-loved varieties, we also introduced several exciting newcomers: Ptilotus Matilda, Delphinium Triton Lavender, Clematis Amazing® Tokyo, Gypsophila Million Daisy™, and Eryngium Gemini Questar®, all of which drew plenty of attention.

Our brand manager, Helena van Achterberg, hosted a lively and informative sustainability quiz during the business drop-ins, sparking meaningful conversations. It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm and to meet so many passionate florists in person.
