Growing with care
Recognised with nine awards
This year’s Kenya Flower Council Pinnacle Sustainability Awards brought us a moment of real pride. Our farms were recognised no less than nine times for their ongoing commitment to sustainable flower cultivation. Among the awards were Best Organic Waste Management, the Golden Bloom Award, and recognition for achieving KFC Gold Certification.
Best Organic Waste Management
We embrace a circular approach to farming. All plant waste is composted and returned to the soil, enriching it with organic matter. This practice not only improves soil fertility but also enhances water retention and supports a thriving ecosystem of beneficial micro-organisms. Our composting process is part of a broader strategy that includes the use of vermiculture and biochar to maintain healthy, resilient soils. ST Farm stood out and won this award.

Golden Bloom Award
Our Kariki Juja Farm won the Golden Bloom Award in the medium-scale category. They scored the fewest non-conformities for the Flowers and Ornamentals Sustainability Standard (FOSS), and were therefore recognised for their outstanding commitment to excellence across different sustainability dimensions.

KFC Gold Certification
Our Bondet Farm was the first of our seven Kenyan farms to reach the KFC Gold certificate, and proudly won this award. We are proud to share that since then, also KS Farm and ST Farm have obtained this Gold Standard, and we are working to bring all of our farms to this level.
(Feeling lost in the world of certifications in the floriculture sector? That's completely understandable, there are a lot of them! We’ve created a clear overview of our certifications here.)
Acknowledged on all fronts
Other awards we won here were for water management, soil health management, employee welfare programmes, community partnership programmes, and young emerging leaders.
