Madrid Blooms 2025
Redefining contemporary style
In January 2025, Madrid Flower School and Flower House joined forces to bring MADRID BLOOMS to life: a groundbreaking floral congress that marks a new era in floral design across Europe. Eight influential international designers gathered in Madrid to share their vision and explore the future of floral artistry.
Marginpar was one of the floral sponsors, and we were deeply impressed by the results. Expert designers used our flowers during demonstrations on stage, while showing new techniques, mechanics, and innovative tools. From centrepieces and bouquets to arches and floral installations.

Innovative techniques and inspiring visions
During the congress, renowned floral designers presented unique and pioneering techniques:
- Laetitia Mayor (Florésie, France) showed Lego-like modular structures to insert flowers with precision.
- Michal Kowalski & Michael Dariane (Blooming Haus, UK) delivered a masterclass on sustainable floral business.
- Katie Davis (Ponderosa & Thyme, USA) addressed the emotional connection in floral design.
- Holly Chapple (Holly Heider Chapple Flowers, USA) presented a framework on which to assemble a bouquet.
- Federica Carlini (Federica Carlini Studio, Italy) reinterpreted a still-life composition inspired by 16th-century Spanish painter Juan Sánchez Cotán.
- Ana Belén Rodríguez (Anila Flowers, Spain) highlighted the importance of local materials in floral design.
- Hamish Powell (Hamish Powell Studio, UK) transformed a cement block and wire into a sculptural floral masterpiece.
More than a congress: a space for growth
MADRID BLOOMS was more than just a congress. The MADRID BLOOMS experience continued with workshops, installations, and networking moments. The second day began with a group meditation to enhance creativity and focus, followed by hands-on floral design sessions. Marginpar flowers were used throughout the day, appearing in large-scale installations to wedding bouquets.

A congress that makes a mark
The designers at MADRID BLOOMS 2025 not only shared their artistry but also their vision for the industry. The sessions were interactive, and attendees experimented with textures, colours, plants, and flowers in exquisite and bold combinations.
The message is clear: contemporary floral design thrives on boldness, creativity, and sustainability. MADRID BLOOMS reflected these trends and cemented its place as a leading event in the international floral scene.
