onger vase life, less waste, and flowers handled with care. That’s what our collaboration with Chrysal is all about. Because the better we work together, the stronger your floral work becomes. Think longer-lasting blooms, smart post-harvest treatments tailored to each variety, and innovations that reduce our environmental footprint.

So what's in it for you as a florist?

It’s simple: flowers that stay beautiful for longer mean happier customers and less waste. Thanks to:

  • Tailor-made pre-treatment recipes, adjusted for each crop (and sometimes even per cultivar!) to ensure the best quality and vase life.
  • On-farm training and hygiene audits, so that flowers are treated under optimal conditions. Hygiene is crucial during the post-harvest phase. A specially developed app and audit programme improve quality control and reduce waste.
  • Sea freight simulations in Nairobi. Chrysal Africa houses four climate-controlled chambers and a vase-life lab, where we test how to ship flowers to Europe, sustainably and in excellent condition. In the photo on the right, you can see how flowers are wrapped with the FreshLiner, which reduces water loss during long-distance transport.
