A sea of solar panels
Under the roof of our brand-new building in Aalsmeer-Oost, we process between 700,000 and 1 million flowers every day. And as of last Thursday, we do so completely climate-neutrally. Almost 2,000 solar panels proudly adorn our roof, providing the building with sustainable electricity.
KiesZon, responsible for the installation, explains, "These solar panels have an annual production of 700,000 kWh, allowing Marginpar to avoid an annual CO2 emission of 490,392 kg."
This stunning result is a logical step in our sustainability approach. Michel Zaat, General Manager, emphasises, "Our new accommodation is completely future-proof. A future that is inspiring, sustainable and climate-neutral. A solar installation is absolutely part of that."
